Virginia "Ginny" Sue (Williamson) Staley

Virginia Sue (Williamson) Staley, 80, Greenfield, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 1, 2021. She passed away with her loving family by her side. Ginny was born on August 25, 1940 in McCrory, AR, to the late Jack and Nettie Virginia (Howard) Williamson. Ginny obtained her Bachelor's degree from Anderson College and her Master's degree from Ball State University. Ginny worked as a grade school teacher for IPS for well over 33 years, retiring in 1999. After retirement, she co-directed Fall Creek Baptist Pre School for 3 years. Ginny never let a day go by without praising God. She led bible studies and could always been seen reading the bible and its scriptures. She attended the affiliations of Church of God- Anderson. Ginny was also of the faith that she never knew a stranger. All were welcome and loved. Ginny loved taking numerous vacations to Daytona Beach and Gatlinburg. She was also a tremendously loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and will be missed by so many, as family and friends were also fixtures in her everyday routine. Ginny is survived by her loving husband, Richard Staley; her children: Jay (Christine) Davis, Brad (Laurine) Davis, and Lisa (Kevin) Dalton; step-children: Elizabeth Gebhart, Susanna Crain, John Staley, and Jim Staley; grandchildren: Randall Davis, Rachel Cook, Casey Davis, Jared Davis, Breanna Jaynes, Nicole Civitarese, and Courtney Civitarese; sister, Kathy Wilkerson-Francis; brother, Jack Williamson; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. noon at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the service following at 12:00 p.m. noon, officiated by Reverend Steve McCart.
