Virginia Lee Hardyman, age 90 of Greenfield passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Hancock Regional Hospice, Greenfield. She was born on April 17, 1925 in Greenfield, IN to the late Floyd and Freida (Slifer) Brown.
Virginia worked as a LPN and as a clerk in city hall from 1979-1984. She spent her life as a homemaker, devoted mother, grandmother, and wife. She was a member of the O.E.S. in Greenfield, a lifetime member of the VFW, and attended Brandywine Community Church in Greenfield.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Carletta Kintner of Greenfield, Anita Bolton of Indianapolis, grandchildren, Jody (Garry) Sells, Greg (Lisa) Hudson, Carla Pierce, Chris (Asha) Kintner, Randy (Cheryl) Ballinger, Jenny (James) Glass, 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Charles P. Albrecht, daughter, Bertha L. Ballinger, brothers; Jim Brown, Harry Brown, Charles Brown, Howard Brown, Robert Brown, Floyd Brown, Harold Brown, William Brown, sisters, Flossie Dodd, Doris Brown, and her grandson Mark Ballinger.
Friends may call from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W Main St. Greenfield, IN 46140. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 6:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Greenfield at a later date.
