Wanda Mae White

Wanda Mae White, age 93 formerly of Greenfield passed away October 12, 2017 at Cypress Place, Summerville, SC. She was born August 26, 1924 in rural Hancock County to the late John S. and Georgia (Cinders) Thomas. Wanda was a 1942 graduate of Mt. Comfort High School. She married John B. White on March 23, 1946. Along with being a devoted mother and wife Wanda worked at Lawrence Central High School in the cafeteria. She was a long-time member of Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Busy Bee Home Economics Club. Wanda loved canning fresh vegetables from her garden, baking and making candy during the holidays. She is survived by her daughters; Sheryl (Donald) Denney of West Baden, IN, Janet (Raymond) Hansen and Becky (David) Brannon both of Summerville, SC., one grandchild, one great grandchild and one great-great grandchild. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; husband; John B. White in 2008, brother; Wayne Thomas and sister; Cathryn Dobbins. Burial immediately following at Park Cemetery.
