Warren R. Tolman, 85, of Greenfield passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015. He was born May, 16, 1930 in Columbus, Nebraska to the late Nathaniel and Virginia (West) Tolman.
Warren was a 1948 graduate of Indianola High School and received his Engineering Degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1952. He served in the United States Air Force from 1953 until 1958 where he received his Masters Degree in Engineering.
Warren married Mildred (Wilson) Tolman on February 8, 1969. They have resided in Greenfield since 1973. Prior to his retirement in 1988 Warren was an engineer for AT&T-Bell Laboratories in Indianapolis. He enjoyed traveling, reading, spending time gardening and on home projects. He was also a member of the Zane Grey Society.
He is survived by his wife; Midge Tolman of Greenfield, daughters; Annette Tolman of Duluth, GA, Kathleen (Thomas Mincher) Tolman of St. Peters, MO, brother; Dr. Dan Tolman of Rochester, MN and grandchildren; Lexington, Savanah and Trenton Mincher.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters; Martha McGinnis and Natalie Tolman.
Services will be 6:00 pm, Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140 with calling from 4:00 pm until the time of Service. A private family burial will take place at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis.
