William Maurice Branock

William Maurice Branock, 79, Greenfield, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 14, 2024. Bill was born on March 12, 1945, in Greenfield, IN, to Earl B. and Pauline V. (McCorkle) Branock. Bill is a 1963 graduate of Hancock Central High School. He married his love Marsha Lynn Toler on June 20, 1964.

Bill was a tremendously loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed. He was employed with Ameritech, turned AT&T, as a supply manager for 30 years, before retiring in 1995. After retirement, he sought work at Koorsen Fire Protection as a fire extinguisher technician. Bill attended Curry's Chapel Church as well as Spiceland United Methodist Church. Bill loved watching western movies on TV, bird watching, being outdoors, fishing, carpentry, vegetable gardening, and collecting old tractors and trucks.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Marsha of 59 years; their children: Russell (Lynne) Branock, Eric (Cheryl) Branock, Nicholas Branock, and Nichole Gilbert; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother, Jerry (Dois) Branock.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marilyn (Charles) Barnes.

Visitation will be on Thursday evening, April 18, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. The following morning, Friday, April 19, 2024, the funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home, officiated by Bill's sister-in-law, Pastor Debbie Beason.
