William Love August 31, 1932 - March 3, 2008 William "Bill" C. Love, 75, a resident of Greenfield passed away March, 3, 2008 at his residence. He was born August 31, 1932 in Eaton, Indiana to the late William Jennings Bryan and Mary C. (Musgrave) Love. He served in the U.S. Army, was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Winchester and achieved a Bachelor in Business in 1958 from Indiana University. He served as Vice President of National City Bank until 1995, was a member of Trinity Park United Methodist Church, lifelong member of IU Alumni Association, Indianapolis Sertoma and the Indianapolis Civic Association. He enjoyed his grandchildren, loved genealogy, IU basketball, Cincinnati Reds baseball, and he never knew a stranger! He is survived by his wife Sharon Love of Greenfield whom he married on September 14, 1958; son, David C. Love of Greenfield; daughters, Catherine (Jeff) Bell of Greenfield, Tracey (Rod) Payne of Pendleton; brothers Dan (Elaine) Love of Winchester, Jim Love of Farmland; sisters, Sharon (Don) Whitted of Winchester, Ruby (Max) St. Myers of Union City, June Love of Richmond, Jennifer (Stuart) Curk of Lakeland Florida, Angel Hill of Winchester; seven grandchildren, Zachary (Jill) Love, Sarah and Abby Love all of Greenfield, Lindsay (Matt) Muffler of Greenfield, Ashley and Jordan Bell of Greenfield, Joshua Payne of Pendleton; great-granddaughter, Taylor Love; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Irene Love in 2004. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2008 at Trinity Park United Methodist Church, Greenfield with Rev. Michael Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield and one hour prior to service at the church.
